The StudBook is no longer a free publication.
In 2010 and in 2011 we mailed The StudBook out free of charge. We are not able to do this for the 2012 issue.
The 2010 and 2011 StudBooks were mailed out to about 1,100 subscribers in February and March of 2010 and 2011, respectively, (in time for breeding season), and 150+ copies of the magazine could be found at various horse events throughout the year – specifically at breeding related events such as breed evaluations, which are held throughout North America at various times of the year.
In 2012, we will be mailing out about 500 magazines to a list of subscribers, and of course everyone that advertises or studvertises gets a complimentary copy of the magazine. If it weren't for our stallion owners and advertisers, this magazine wouldn't be possible!
The magazine should arrive in subscriber's mailboxes in early to mid February - there will be no delay. For those that aren't on the mailing list and would like a copy, they can order their copy of the magazine online. The option to buy the magazine will be available on January 27th, 2012. We will post a link on our website that day to order the magazine. There the subscribers can order as many copies of the magazine as they wish, for a set price.
We estimated that about 3,000 people in North America and Europe saw the magazine in 2010 and 2011. We estimate that at least 1,500 people will see it in 2012 with our changed business model of no longer giving it away. But we anticipate that many people will order it, because it is full of fabulous stallions, great articles and many great ads from superior Icelandic horse service providers.
We thank you all for your support and readership.
